London Theatre Review: The Mousetrap at St. Martin's Theatre

After 66 years and over 27,500 performances, it can simply be said that The Mousetrap has truly cemented its place in legend and on the streets of London. The famous ‘whodunnit’ that has wowed audiences time and time again is a staple for any fan of theatre and a tourist attraction for all others with the classic style of Agatha Christie firmly at the helm.

London Theatre Review: The Mousetrap at St. Martin's Theatre
The amazing cast of The Mousetrap deliver twists and turns night after night!

Writing about a production without giving anything away is somewhat difficult. The wonder that this continuous production has managed to keep its secret is a credit to both the fantastic cast and the respect audiences have for Ms Christie.  All that can be given is immense praise to the stupendous cast that deliver incredible and believable characters with such finesse, and more than a passing nod should be given to the cohesive cast currently in situ with Joel Macey delivering a praiseworthy performance.

It would be easy to break-away into reasons as to what is so good about the show, but at the request of the cast, the mystery shall remain just that.

Christie is famous in the murder mystery world for her page-turning twist endings and The Mousetrap is no exception to that rule. While all the information is there to solve this secret yourself, the twist ending hits you like a freight train, knocking every member of its audience into submission.

The Mousetrap is not only a legend in London. It is, quite frankly, a theatrical masterpiece.

If you aren't already in on the secret there is no time like the present to Book The Mousetrap tickets. If you've already seen the show you know it's worth seeing again, so grab a friend and make your way to St. Martin's Theatre!
